"America is the police of the world. Don't wear its uniform," says Mumbai jeans brand Sunnex as it brags that its jeans aren't made in the States. OK, I get it, lots of people in the world don't like us right now. But this attempted jab at the U-S-of-A falls very flat for me. Why? Simply because most Americans don't wear jeans made in America either! Here comes a very capitalist, conservative statement...wait for it...why can't Mumbai just be thankful for the thousands upon thousands of jobs we outsource to India? What, Mumbai, your citizens good enough to do our work but not wear "our uniforms?"
Sorry...but a nerve has been struck. Especially in light of the fact that unemployment claims are shooting up. Arg.
